Alberta Foundation for the Arts Grant: I received a $14,300 project grant to complete a magical realism novel about the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. The project includes travel to Japan for research and collaboration with sensitivity readers. I'll be completing this project over the course of 2026. Stay tuned for a report on the project, circa March 2027. As for the novel...you'll see it when it's published!

Monthly Newsletter, Writer vs. Climate: I've launched a monthly newsletter to talk about my project, and all things reading and writing about climate, energy, and the environment. Sign up here!

Edmonton Chinese Writing Club - Anti Racism Anthology: I'm volunteering with the ECWC as part of the managing team for this anthology. I'm also a contributing author. The anthology will feature anti-racism stories rooted in Chinese wisdom and other Asian traditions, to be launched this fall. Stay tuned! https://ecwc-ab.com.

Editing a memoir: I am excited to have gotten my first major editing gig through my connections with the ECWC. It is the memoir of a local older Chinese woman with a truly fascinating story. I am honored to help make this project the best it can be.

Motherhood Chapbook: Ever since I first started trying to become a mother, and once I actually became one, I've been writing about it. I've now captured all those poems and essays in a small chapbook. It's raw, a little dark, and a lot joyful. Coming soon for purchase, with the special goal of helping anyone who's experienced pregnancy loss or postpartum depression/anxiety/insomnia/all the fun things.
